You may be wondering why some people doubt the Truth about tossing quarters,time–travel, etc. They think it’s all just a harmless giggle. Maybe it’s because they haven’t been to enough Festivals to feel the continuity: same place, same time, same spirit, mainely the same people. It’s that timeless interweaving of Festivals that makes timescanning possible.

Sure, 97.7% of the Festival we just hang out, commune with Nature, eat, drink and bee here now. But we also Timescan® back to 1973... Thus we unravel the Mystery as we create it.

Everybody knows that time-travel, or at least timescan, is possible. It doesn’t require massive high-tech equipment. We have all we need to transcend the boundaries of Space and Time. Mimicking the ancient ritual we toss quarters, we read the Story, we assemble 42 round metal objects. Obviously...

Thirty years ago, we had the 7th Festival. It was a very special Festival. We had 7th Festival T-shirts and everything. We gathered in the Meadow, tossed quarters and read the Story for the first time. Obviously, we were opening a pathway so that some day future Spaceniques could timescan back through that pathway to 1973. The future is now.

P.S. It’s probably best not to share this with any of the new-comers. Some of them actually believe that timescanning is impossible. If they ask, just say “It’s just a harmless giggle.”

if you’re somewhat new to SPACE…

You may be wondering about all this stuff about tossing quarters, time-travel, etc. It’s just a harmless giggle. 97.7% of the SPACE Festival we hang out, commune with Nature, eat, drink and bee here now... perhaps a hike to the falls, potluck at the campsite, sunset at Blackrock...just folks, having a good time.

Nobody really believes the Story, that Space is a million years old, that we’ve been tossing coins for 2300 years, that we Timescan® back to 1973...nobody believes any of it. Everyone knows that time–travel, or even time-scan, is impossible.

Even if it were possible, it would require massive high-tech equipment. (Some scientists believe that time-travel may be possible if they could get a black hole to spin backwards.) Even if it didn’t require equipment, even if it could be accomplished by some form of mental gymnastics, certainly it would be something more somber than tossing quarters, reading the Story and assembling 42 round metal objects. Obviously...

Thirteen years ago, we had the 23rd Festival. It was a very special Festival. We had 23rd Festival T-shirts and everything. We gathered in the Meadow, joined hands, and formed a large circle. The old-timers believe we were opening a “window in time” so that some day future Spaceniques could timescan back through that window to 1973. The future is now.

P.S. It’s probably best not to share this with any of the old-timers. Some of them actually believe that timescanning is possible. So if they ask, just say “Anything’s possible.”
