The ORDER of the QUARTER

ORDER:
1) a sequence or arrangement of objects or events
2) a state of peace and serenity
3) a sacrament or rite of ordination
4) any of the nine ranks or grades of angels
5) a level of consciousness or plane of existence
6) a condition in which everything is in its right place and functioning properly
7) an association of people formed for some special purpose.

QUARTER:
1) a coin valued at one fourth of a dollar
2) one of the four phases of the Moon
3) lodging or place of residence
4) any of four equal parts
5) a particular group or place serving as a source or origin
6) two bits or pieces of eight (crowns or dollars divided into eight parts)
7) a day regarded as terminating a fourth of the year, e.g., Midsummer Day.

For many years, we have used bicentennial quarters (Washington head/ revolutionary tale)in our annual ritual.

“It couldn’t have happened before 1976 now could it?”
“Not with bicentennial quarters.”
“In the car.”

This temporal anomaly will be resolved at the 23rd Festival.
